Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Language is a bridge that can bring many cultures together. In my Kindergarten Spanish immersion classroom, we will be creating a pathway for Spanish speakers and English speaking students to come together and work alongside each other to build our comprehension of the foundational skills of writing, reading, and speaking in Spanish.

Our very unique school community offers three academic pathway programs; Spanish two-way immersion, Cantonese bilingual, and English language development strand.

Our school community is diverse, and we seek to continue to unite our students across all cultures.

My Project

Flexible seating and top-quality classroom materials allow students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. These classroom materials will help foster my students and their imagination. Flexible seating will provide my students with multiple ways to learn and be successful, sometimes our bodies need a break from the tables with the rug, chairs, and storage bins we will build and create more opportunities to learn.

My students deserve access to quality materials, right now we are working with old or broken materials that hinder their ability to fully engage, with updated headphones my students will be able to use their classroom technology without hurting their ears.

I look forward to providing my students with an education every child deserves.
