Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Artwork should always be to an individuals creativity. A simple way to achieve this in a classroom of early learners is to provide them with paper and paint. The supplies we are requesting will help us reach this goal.

The early learners in my classroom are an energetic group who many interests.

Many present atypical development in regards to fine motor coordination. This also makes it difficult to complete art projects with complete independence. One way to address both independence and fine motor coordination is through painting.

My Project

Through painting our students learn to explore their own creativity in an independent manner as well as addressing fine motor coordination. This translates into pre-writing skills such as holding a crayon or marker which goes hand-in-hand with many other skills such as literacy. The material that we are requesting will make it easy for students to put their thoughts into concrete form. The drying rack will help with organizing their art and to maintain a clean and safe classroom environment and the paper will serve as their canvas.

Art is beauty.

Please help my students explore their inner artist and put their wonderful thoughts onto paper. One cannot describe the happiness a child feels when they are able to create something that is completely their own.
