Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Will my students learn something new today? Will they be able to make predictions and find out the results of a simple experiment? Sometimes school is the only opportunity that these children have to learn, practice and discover new things. I am sure these materials will help them to develop science skills which they will need for their real lives. I am the only Pre K bilingual teacher at my school. My students come from a high-need community. We don't have many parent volunteers at the school and there is not much money available to get all the things I would like to have for my students. During the school year we will work on different science concepts such as Senses, magnets, classification, color mixing, animals' homes and temperature. These materials will help them to explore, discover and learn while having fun in the Science Center. My students need a Five Senses Instant Learning Center, a Touch & Match Guessing Game, Magnets Instant Learning Center, a Magnet Discovery Board, and a Five Senses Discovery Center, a hands-on Classification Center, a Magnifier Discovery Board, Discovery Tubes for color mixing, Sort & Match Science Games, Painting Bowls - Set of 10 for temperature experiments and a Feel & Discover Animals Bag to use their senses and develop vocabulary. These materials will help my students to reinforce concepts and to explore and discover while playing and learning. You will make it possible for my students to have appropriate-aged materials to explore, investigate and reinforce science concepts. With all these materials you will make a difference in my students' lives giving them the opportunity to have more hands-on activities in my classroom.
