Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a low income school in Homestead, Florida. My classroom is multicultural. Many of my students face many challenges on the daily basis. Most of my students come from homes where English is not their primary language. Others lack the basic needs that children need in order to succeed in school.

My third graders are invincible!

Even though there are many factors that can keep them from being successful, they come to school ready to fight the everyday struggles of life. They are brave and strong!

My Project

The two laptops and printer will allow my students to manipulate technology in a new way. The laptops will allow my students to engage in collaborative work, by sharing ideas in small groups or with partners.

The laptops and printer will allow my students the opportunity to use Science simulators to explore and discover, create and print projects, and increase literacy skills through the use of technology.

My students will be able to gain new knowledge and increase literacy by reading and following multi-step directions through the manipulation of digital science tools.

My students will also use the laptops and printer to research, create, and print projects. Many of my students don't have technology at home, so this will give them the opportunity to use technology.
