Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in grades 11 and 12 in New York City. We are a diverse group of learners who are always curious and eager to learn exciting new things. We have started the process of learning coding and computer science through an introductory computer science class, and would like to take it to the next level for the next school year.

A challenging computer science curriculum is what students need to motivate them to learn more about this exciting content.

We are hoping to expand our knowledge of computer science next school year through this professional development. My students will need this knowledge to be trained in the skills necessary to be successful in the world of tomorrow.

My Project

This project will help me attend an Exploring Computer Science Professional Development course and receive a stipend. I will use this training to learn how to teach students Computer Science skills.

Today, technical skills are in high demand and are becoming ubiquitous.

With this training, I will be able to learn skills to teach many students that will prepare them for college and the modern world.

This training will enable me the opportunity to push my students further in their learning and growth in computer science. In our technical world, it is of the utmost importance to lay the foundation for our future. This will be one step towards preparing my students to be tomorrow’s leaders. Thank you for your support.
