Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My goal is to provide my students with sensory learning activities that can help my students regulate their attention and focus. I would like to provide my students with hands on activities and textured materials and visual aids. I will create sensory bins using the magnetic letters and magnetic trays, to help my students explore and learn through their senses.

I will use many of the wonderful resources found in TeachersPayTeachers to provide insightful lessons that caters to my students needs.

I will provide my students with opportunities for active engagement and choose learning pathways based on their interests and strengths.

My students will have different opportunities to recognize a letter or build simple words using the magnetic word builder and the magnetic letters. Using the magnetic trays, I will use magnetic letter tray templates to help my students my students improve their identification of uppercase letters and sounds.

The fidget toys will be used to provide sensory input in a minimal distracting way.
