Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students' outdoor play area is quite small and lacks shade. Previously, a few trees offered some relief from the sun, but they were removed due to their roots damaging the plumbing.

As a result, our yard is now entirely exposed, making the tables and toys too hot to use.

Installing a canopy would provide shade over part of the yard, helping to keep the tables and some toys cool for the children to enjoy.

Additionally, the canopy would create a more inviting environment for outdoor activities, encouraging children to spend more time playing and exploring. This shaded area could also serve as a perfect spot for outdoor lessons, story time, or even picnics, seamlessly integrating nature into the educational experience.
