My Students

My students come from a variety of backgrounds including low-income families. My students are eager to earn their IB diploma and for this reason, they are often very self-motivated. The textbook they have been issued does not have a lot of pictures and I hope to use these materials to help them visualize the topics that we study.

My Project

Students will get the opportunity to build neurons that make up the hand, and experiment with effects of temperature on enzymes. I really try to make my course hands on as much as I can since that is how students learn best. These materials allow my students to really dive into the content and unpack some of the mysterious around science! They can then use these creations as resources for future assessments. They can also become part of the classroom as we continue to dive into the topics the students are interested in!
