Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
The students are welcoming me with open arms. They are decorating their nameplates with "Welcome Cary" or "We love Cary" which makes me and my students from Cary feel welcomed and loved. The students have told me that they are most excited to make new friends and want to empathize with them. The love and acceptance that my students display make me proud to be their new teacher.
On October 20th, Cary Middle School was destroyed.
As a brand new teacher, I did not expect this to happen to me or my students. I have been reassigned to Franklin, and I am now teaching a new grade level. My students have gained a new teacher, and I think they deserve to have the best. I need the resources to provide the students with the best education possible.
My Project
The students are learning the different types of body systems, and they will be able to refer to a model instead of a picture on a piece of paper. It will bring life to our lesson, and it will bring a memorable experience. The other items asked for such as test protectors, cutting board, and storage are items that I need to make our classroom run smoothly. The items lost in the tornado can be replaced, and I am so thankful that I have this opportunity to advocate for the needs of my students. They deserve resources, and a welcoming environment.
