This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In Kindergarten it is important to tie in all subjects we come across with our learning. I've found that reading books that tie in with holidays or themes make it so much more enjoyable to gage them as listeners and have them understand more on the topic or holiday. In this project I've asked for books for St. Patrick's and Valentine's Day. I don't have any books from those two holidays and I've always used online videos for reading time. I have noticed that although the students enjoy watching the read aloud, it doesn't compare to their enjoyment when I sit down and read a story and because of that, I am kindly asking for a donation to our classroom.
