My Project

Our class started a classroom garden and with support from donors, we were able to get supplies such as trowels, grow lights, plastic pots to transplant our seedlings, and labels so we knew what plants were in each pot. My students enjoy planting seeds/watching the seeds grow. They followed steps/directions for mixing soil, putting it in the seeding trays, and making sure they had enough water and got as much sun as possible.

By donating to our classroom garden project, my students will be able to have designated storage for the garden supplies, aprons to wear while gardening, potting soil to use when the seedlings are reading for transplanting to bigger pots, and seeds to continue our garden.

My students' interest and independence will continue as we expand our classroom garden.
