My Students

Gym is the time to blow off steam & extra energy. We need new equipment to keep the kids engaged! We are indoors most of the year and need fun indoor activities. Our students need to be encouraged to get away from their computers and play around with their friends.

The students at our school are kids that excel in math, science and technology.

They have chosen to come to ASD for advanced classes in subjects that engage them. These students will be the scientists of tomorrow. The people that cure diseases and invent the next great thing. That being said, they are also middle and high school kids that are just like all of their friends when it comes to wanting to enjoy activity and fun time. Our students give up a great deal to further their education. At ASD we try to provide everything we can to have the students have a great experience during their middle and high school years! We have very limited funds and these types of things are not in the budget. This project would fill a great need!

My Project

Indoor PE can get boring when you don't have a lot of space or any equipment. These kids want to run off some energy and give their brain a break with some fun games. Right now they don't have many choices for activities. The addition of these scooters would substantially increase the number of activities for their indoor PE time. Due to limited funding from the state we don't have budget money for items like this. Supporting this project would fill a great need and affect the whole school.

Getting our students up and moving is a big challenge.

These students (mainly boys) are diverted by video games, television and computers. Encouraging them to get their blood pumping is hard enough. Combine that with limited space and we have to get very creative. These scooters will liven up gym class for everyone! Limited funding prevents us from buying equipment like this. Supporting this project would help out the entire school population.
