My Students

Our students are a diverse group of learners who live up to challenges and strive to be better citizens on a daily basis. They struggle with emotional challenges and seek to develop positive social skills to increase opportunities in and out of the school setting. The majority of our students come from impoverished neighborhoods and unstable home lives. We seek to give them a stable and trusting school environment. They love going on class field trips and exploring their communities.

All of our students enjoy a variety of arts/sciences including music, art, computers, and hands-on learning opportunities.

They each hold strengths that can be developed and utilized after graduation within a work environment.

My Project

The resources within this project will ensure that our active students receive healthy "brain breaks" and activities throughout their school day. Students will be engaged in daily team building lessons that will enhance their social skills and create relationship building opportunities.

Our students have boundless energy and struggle with sitting in a lecture-style classroom all day.

With these tools, we hope to encourage positive social interactions to help build their self-esteem. Cross curricular opportunities can also be created utilizing these resources. We hope to exercise our minds and bodies! By having access to these materials, our students have a chance to hone in on their strengths and feel good about themselves.
