Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is composed of 95% low-income students who do not let their socioeconomic background define them. Most of my students are LatinX, bringing many different, unique, and diverse experiences and knowledge to our classroom. My 6th grade students are brilliant scholars ready to learn with the right materials.

My middle school students are in need of sport equipment that is suited for their age.

This is our first year in our school as it is now becoming a k-8 dual language. Because of this, we do not have the necessary materials or equipment other middle schools do. It breaks my heart when students say to me "I wish our school had that". I want to give them as much sport equipment to help them be healthy and active middle school students. With your help my students will have access to basic sport equipment, like basketballs and soccer balls, to use daily.
