My Project

I teach Special Education in an underfunded school district. The unique and diverse needs of special education students are often overlooked and not addressed due to financial limitations. While students require flexible seating, there aren’t many options beyond traditional student desks and chairs at the high school level.

Students with disabilities need to move and feel comfortable to focus.

Collaboration provides an extra challenge because students need a way to sit close enough to work together but have their own space to feel secure. Professional furniture that is found in a work environment helps students feel professional and ready to work.
