Executive Functioning Packets

Help me give my students Packets to help with their executive functioning. Each student will receive a packet to help them at home and in class to stay focused, manage their time, organize their work, and complete work promptly.

My Project

As part of the New Year Resolution Goals, students will be discussing executive functioning skills and ways to manage and organize their time so that they complete their work promptly. QHST runs the NEST program for autistic students.

These packets will be provided to 11 of my students who are on the spectrum.

These students require extra support to initiate tasks, focus on the task, organize their work, manage their time, and complete the tasks. The packets will contain each of the items ordered and will be distributed to the students while demonstrating how to use them in therapy sessions as well as generalizing them to different environments (i.e., classroom and at home).

Students will insert their homework and deadline in the planner and the groups will conduct check-ins on completed versus missing work. The planners will help the students to stay on top of their work. Sticky notes and highlighters will help them focus and organize their thoughts. Timers will help them manage their time as well as phone breaks and other types of breaks. The fidgets will help them when overwhelmed and require additional support to manage anxiety, stress, or mental demands required to attend to tasks.
