Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are eager learners. They love sharing new facts that they learn. I want to continue this passion through a class set of books that will open their minds to the experiences of others!

I want to help develop my student's love of reading by providing them opportunities to interact with a physical book, not just digital ones.

I have a very small classroom library. These books will provide my students more choices and to be able to physically hold a book, keep it at their desk, use a bookmark when they are taking a break from reading, and feel the accomplishment of physically turning the last page of their book!

These books will provide each student their own individual book to read. They will provide students with the opportunity to choose what historical person they would like to learn about. Currently, we are using online resources to conduct our research.
