My Project

My kindergartener has begun learning to read by learning letter sounds recognition. The materials I select are intended to engage kids in building phonemic awareness and math skills.

The materials will provide focused practice with a letter and sound recognition specific phonics skill area— beginning sounds, CVC words, leading students to be independent readers.

Students are excited about math. While playing this math game, students can visualize how to solve addition and subtraction by associating numerals with quantities as they build and solve simple addition and subtraction equations.

This project aims to help students have a strong sense of phonological awareness, essential to improving decoding, segmenting, and becoming fluent readers. The selected math materials will help the student to gain mastery in count and cardinality, which is required to build a strong math foundation.

My kindergartners are unique; they are energetic and eager to explore and learn new concepts.
