Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kindergarten class, consists of approximately 25 students from low-income families. My students are creative and eager to learn. They will become accustomed to keeping materials in an orderly and organized fashion. They are excited to come into a new learning environment for the first time.

My Project

One of the many things that we asked of our students this school year was a primary writing journal. Many of my students come from low-income families and these journals are often times hard to find, if they are able to find at all, and the cost of these journals can become expensive.

The primary journals, flexible seating and pencils will allow my students the opportunity to become better writers and to practice the skill in a comfortable setting.

Our classroom is very cramped with the number of students we have so we do not have enough seats for the students to be able to work in our small group kidney table.
