A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I teach U S History in a self contained setting for students attending Arsenal Tech High School. Many of the students have difficulty learning content in this area. To support their learning, I often search for books videos and other aids to deliver content end promote student engagement. I recently found a book that will deliver the content of promote learning and engage my students for every topic that we will cover during the school year in class.
For this reason, I am seeking donors to help fund the purchase of 10 books; "Everything you need to Ace American History in one fat Notebook." The ISBN: 978-0-7611-6083-0
I was able to locate this issue at Costco at a cost of 8.99 per copy. I believe this would be a game changer for several of my students. It is an illustrated version of American history that will grab their attention and provide them with the visual support they will need to increase their understanding of the curriculum.
My Project
These material will help students with learning disabilities bridge the gap in their learning by increasing opportunities to connect with American History. The illustrations in this book are powerful examples of tools that are used in the class that increase mastery of content.
For many of my students, this can be difference between understanding historical content or becoming discouraged.
My students are hard working and need the additional supports for success. I will go to bat for any of them each and every time to ensure that they have every opportunity to be as successful as possible. This is the mission.
