My students love to learn. My students are advanced learners. They thrive on challenge and acceleration. They learn quickly and absorb information. My students are curious and often ask thoughtful, searching questions. They have advanced ability to reason and draw conclusions from given information. Some of them come to class hungry due to not having a healthy breakfast or lunch.
They are diverse and love using creativity, hands-on activities, reading books, and they love science!
There are many students who are English Language Learners, yet they love books and learning. My students are from a neighborhood that is diverse. They come from different backgrounds but come together like a close-knit family. Many of my students struggle financially but they persevere. They are future engineers, artists, and leaders and love to read. Our class has a STEAM maker space that allows students to integrate the Arts with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
My students love building and using their STEM skills. They love legos. Students learn best when it is hands-on and interactive. LEGOS help with math skills like geometry and number sense.
LEGOS teach STEM skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, and engineering.
Our project is for the Space LEGO set and community minifigure set. Students love learning about space. They can use creativity to create stories with the space LEGOs. They can use the community minifigures to increase their communication skills and literacy. They will collaborate and build stories with the LEGOS and take pictures of their work and publish their stories online.
