My Students
My students are Newcomers.
They are brand new to the United States and working hard to acquire English. At our School for the Humanities, we have over 25 different languages spoken! When students arrive, they often need the assistance of dictionaries, translation apps, and other tools to help them learn content in the classroom. Being new to a culture and to a language can be stressful and I'd like to help decrease their worries. As a school counselor I want to be able to connect with our student and help thm through this stressful and emotional situation
