Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For my students a break is necessary with many new things, noise, and changes. At this young age, my students will experience a place called to school for the first time. Many will be making friends, playing with others, and learning to share and communicate with one another for the first time.

There will be struggles, a period of adjustment, and learning moments, but it is all a part of growing up.

Often getting overwhelmed is stressful and unfamiliar. My students will also be experiencing emotions for the first time. Yet it won't be the last. They will learn that what they experience or feel has a name, and everyone goes through it. However, it is crucial to understand that they are not alone and that everyone, including you, as their sponsors, can help them to make a positive growth moment!

With your help, my students will have a safe place to recover and build on their social and emotional skills. A rest and recovery area will allow my students to take a break and recollect themselves. With an area separated from the group, designed to be inviting and full of helpful resources! This area will have a book nook, plushies, and books that are attractive and relatable, soft pillows and toys to relax and hold, and items to touch and observe during their readjusting recovery period. A little kindness and love can go a long way! I am grateful that you have read this far and please consider donating to help my class and society's future humans!
