This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teaching is political!

All are welcome in my classroom and I want to make it very clear to all my beautiful and diverse students, as well as their families, that they are wanted, supported, and included in my class.

My students and their families come from a variety of backgrounds. These books will help me start off the school year and build our classroom community while promoting our class values of inclusion and celebrating our differences. Help me set a tone of love and support for all students and families as we head back to school next year.

I teach in a dual language immersion program and having both the English and Spanish version of some of our favorite books will go a long way in sending a message of inclusion to all students in our program.
