My Students

One of my favorite things to do throughout the school day is to walk the hallways of the school I have worked at for the past twenty-seven years. I am struck by the many different ethnicities represented throughout our school. We have a diverse group of students. Asian students, African American students, Caucasian students, Turkish students, Hispanic students to name just a few. As the world is struggling to get along, these elementary students are working side by side learning, laughing and growing together.

My Project

The posters that I have selected will help represent the many cultures within our elementary school. Students will be able to see themselves in the images that line the main hallway of our school. While walking the halls, students will see some of the MANY people of various ethnicities that have created our country. It will be a mini...Hallway of Heroes. These inspirational posters will reflect the tone of acceptance, equality, and justice that we teach within our school.
