Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Classroom decor is a part of teaching that sets the tone for the year. Students enjoy coming into a comfortable, visually engaging classroom. I like my classroom to be thematic, filled with motivational quotes, and calming colors. Most importantly I want our classroom to feel like home. Each school year, I strive to teach my students the importance of being a part of a classroom family.

Please support my students by donating the borders, nameplates, bulletin board accents, and other materials that will help me decorate our room so they feel safe and welcomed each and every day.

My goal for the upcoming school year is to have my room decorated with a theme that promotes acceptance, in which everyone belongs. I want to set up a welcoming and friendly environment where my students can feel relaxed and safe. I want to make my students feel more comfortable and help them adjust easily to the new learning experience they are about to endeavor. These students come from homes that have a number of setbacks. With the Everyone Is Welcome classroom theme, my students will be encouraged and empowered with a positive learning environment.
