My Students

Every day, I tell my students that they are special because each individual is unique and awesome in different ways. There are many talented children in my classroom.

The first group of students is ELL students who have come from different parts of the world such as Japan, Tonga, and China.

They are bilingual and curious about learning new cultures of Hawaii. The second group of students is future artists and performers. These students become thrilled whenever there are opportunities for painting, crafts, performances, and singing. The last group is the future scientists and authors who like adventures and uses their wonderment and awe to solve real-world problems.

My Project

My students will develop a project to demonstrate their understanding and learning about how humans impact the environment. Each group will carefully choose a method to create a poster, a painting, a skit, a song or powerpoint slides. In the end, students will invite teachers and staff to share and explain their knowledge. It is purposeful and meaningful to provide choices and to share with audiences. Thus, we need these art supplies to build, to create and to show how helping the environment impacts our lives. I can't wait to see my students actively engaged in their projects to show their learning!
