My Project

As a Leader in Me School, my dream is to align the 7 Habits of Happy and Healthy Kids into my daily classroom instruction and experiences. The intention of Leader in Me is to teach the habits of leadership with the end in mind of creating student leaders. The materials requested for my students will allow them to explore a creative side of themselves and find their genius.

I believe that everyone has a genius, whether it is solving higher order thinking word problems, or playing the piano, everyone has genius in them.

My students are extremely special and come from different backgrounds and life experiences, therefore it is important for me to have something that allows us all to come together. My goal is to help students become leaders by learning a new skill. Students will have the opportunity to work through the 7 habits by being proactive, synergizing with one another and thinking about the end in mind to learn something new.

My students will have the opportunity to join a knitting club and create something that will make them proud and believe in their genius. I believe an education should be creative and exciting, and provide experiences that are fun and engaging for students.
