My Project

Hi, I am one of three gym teachers at our school. We serve 800 kids in grades k-8. A majority of our students are Somali students and only know soccer. We want them to learn new & healthy activities. Our goal is to teach kids all types of sports in hopes they might find something they loved. Or they might find out they were good at something but never had the chance to try it until now.

We would love for our kids to learn new sports including volleyball and badminton.

We think that volleyball is an important sport and largely popular. It will help our kids work or 1/2 foot jumps, aiming when they pass, hand-eye coordination and teamwork!
