My Project

Life can be difficult for many of my students in low-income societies and migrant students. Many of my students lack the essentials such as deodorants, to help keep them smelling fresh and clean. I would like to provide my students with these items such as socks and t-shirts to encourage them to take care of their hygiene without any distractions and name-calling from other students. Many of the students live in shelters or homes where parents can not afford so basic needs. Not being exposed to the basic things needed to stay clean can lead to self-withdrawal and conflict, among others. Having such difficulties tends to lead to poor performance in class.

Creating an environment where students feel safe and comfortable within their skin can lead to productive overall experiences and self-confidence.

When a child feel confident about themselves and do not have anxiety over things that are beyond their control, their confidence will rise, and their true potential will come into play. It is the necessities that can make a world of difference in the lives of our young children.
