My Students

My students in the coming school year are from a large, urban community that welcomes families from all over.

My students can be creative, clever, and very enthusiastic about learning if they are given the opportunity to do so.

They will bring a special blend of linguistic diversity, background knowledge, prior experiences, and culture to our school. We are a Title I school, which means we have high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families.

My Project

Presently, the school is closed due to the COVID-19 virus and is uncertain for the coming school year. Distance learning is so different from regular school. The children will no longer be sharing and will have limited interaction at school! They will also suffer from WAY too much screen time during remote learning! I would like to supply them with a non-screen activity that they can do during their time at school as well as at home.

Make A Mark!

I have picked out a bound journal for our new students to tell stories with their scribblings. They would benefit from the journal by decreasing their screen time and activating their inquisitive mind for storytelling. With their travel tote bag, they will be able to share their stories with their friends and family at home and at school. I am sure these students would enjoy this journal and travel tote bag.
