Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you seen the frustration in your student's faces when they are unable to find an item inside their desk? I have! With all the new materials given to our students, and all the folders and journals we provide for them, the space in their desks are limited.

My classroom is composed of 25 students.

Twenty three are english language learners and two english only speakers. All my students qualify for free lunch and live in a high poverty community. My students are eager learners with a lot of energy. Most of them have a difficult to keep all their materials organized.

My Project

By helping fund At-Your-Seat-Sacks for each of my students, you are not only helping them stay organized, but also helping save time. Everyday, I witness how my students struggle finding their small journals or books in their desk. This takes instructional time away from them and frustrates other more organized students who have to wait as other students find their materials. These sacks would help my students stay organized and give them the full instructional time they need.

Every minute of instructional time is essential!

If you help me fund these sacks, my students will have a less crowded desk and find materials faster. In my class every minute counts so help me make the most of our time!
