Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach math, reading, writing, and everything in between every day, but once a week I am given the privilege to run our school's pottery club. I started this year with very few materials for my pottery club and right away I noticed how the lack of materials made a direct impact in my students' ability to be creative and express themselves to their fullest extent!
With these materials, every student in my club can see themselves as an artist and express themselves through a piece of their own making!
Next year I will be running the same club and hopefully having a brand new successful relaunch! The products in this project include everything from paintbrushes, clay, paint, tools, and mats, to a rolling cart, in efforts of having the materials necessary and in an organized way that is reachable for the students in my club!
