Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My children have been picking up trash and learning about recycling this year. They have learned which bins each piece of trash should go into. They have learned to reduce, reuse, recycle, and refurbish. They will readily pick up trash just to keep our playground clean and presentable! They make new items out of used materials. I am so proud of them. To further their education, I would like to get them gloves to protect them from the germs the trash might carry. I will be teaching them how to garden so that more plants can inhabit the earth to provide us with oxygen to breath. We are also learning about the rotation of the earth, terrains, and cycles of nature.

Gardening gloves and pots will help my children learn about earth day.

Earth pens that rotate will remind my students that our earth rotates to give us the different seasons of the year. The earth balls will serve to teach them about different parts of the world, continents, and distance. They will also help them with stress and fidgeting as these balls are squishable.

With these materials, I hope to teach my children about the many wonderful aspects of our earth and the enormous number of careers that are possible to help us take care of the earth.
