My Students

As an Intensive Reading teacher at a Title I school, I work with the lowest 25% of the population. Students enrolled in this course are reading two or more years below grade level. My students are in need of resources that will help bridge the gap so that they can become motivated readers.

My Project

This project will help my students understand their changing bodies and emotions and embrace who they are with confidence. Keeping their bodies clean is an important part of keeping the students healthy and helping them to to feel good about themselves. Students must feel good about themselves to intrinsically motivate themselves to do well.

They are in need of toothpaste, soap, deodorant and snacks because they live in low socioeconomic areas.

Students have expressed their needs for these items. I would like my students to feel confident about coming to school and being a part of the school's community. I know students will be happy to have these products.
