Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This school year I'm working with a group of 21 incredible and hardworking students, where most of them have a Hispanic background and have not still achieved the proficiency in English. However, they are enthusiastic and willing to learn a little bit more every day from home. In addition, I feel proud and lucky to help them navigate during this new remote learning environment.

To provide them with the best education possible in these circumstances, I need to be prepared with the right instructional resources.

My Project

These basic classroom materials will provide my students with the indispensables needed to work throughout the school year. In this project I'm requesting the primary tools used during daily instruction, such as pencils, erasers, rulers, notebooks, scissors, etc. We are a Title 1 school, where the majority of the families receive free or reduced-price lunch. Certainly, many parents struggle in providing the required classroom supplies. For many students it is difficult and even stressful not being able to have the basics that first day. Learning materials, regardless of what kind, all have some function in student learning.

By donating to my project, you will not only support my students with the main provisions they need, you will positively impact in their learning environment making it more equipped and suitable to learning occur.

Making sure my students are prepared from the very beginning is important to keep them motivated are ready to succeed academically this 2021-22 school year!
