Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school in which most of the students come from low-socio economic backgrounds. My class is composed of enthusiastic, hard working, and talented students.

I would like to instill the love of writing in my students in both literacy and math.

My Project

The materials chosen will help students strengthen their writing skills in all academic areas. The chart paper will be used to model different types of genres, how to make revisions, and edit writing. In addition, it would be used to chart students mathematical thinking.

These essential tools will allow students to continue practicing and developing their writing skills.

They will use the writing folder to help them organize their work. Using the writing process will help students to gain more confidence as writers. The tools they will need for writing will allow them to write their ideas in paper and publish their final piece using other technology. These materials will help me give my students the tools needed to become confident, creative, and successful writers in class and at home.
