This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My third-grade students attend a rapidly expanding school, which continues to grow. It offers a rigorous academic environment with teachers that are willing to go above and beyond for their students. They are eager to use new technology, provide exciting learning activities and put in all their effort into learning! PGA is an AdvancED STEM Certified school that encompasses qualities and components vital to creating and sustaining superior, student-centered STEM teaching and learning programs. In addition, our students have clear expectations for mastery of 21st-century skills.

Our hardworking students are tomorrow's leaders; they are given high expectations to excel upon.

My students come from a variety of backgrounds, especially low-income and English as second language households and include students with exceptionalities. They take advantage of all the opportunities provided to them.

My Project

These basic classroom supplies are important in our every day learning in class. Towards the middle of the school year, we start running low on pencils, erasers and several other supplies. We use dry erase markers to work on fluency and work out math problems on the desk. We even use them on our mini whiteboards. With the outlet surge protectors, we can make sure that our Chromebooks are charged and always ready to go to use iReady, Reflex Math or iXL. Having sharpened pencils is always important so that we are ready to learn and don't have to interrupt our lessons to look for a pencil or sharpen it. Also, having stickers is a wonderful way to implement positive reinforcement. Students love collecting their stickers in their binders, we even use them to work out some math problems!

Less interruptions in the classroom allow for us to work on our math and science skills without wasting important time looking for basic classroom supplies. We are looking forward to finishing out the school year with high expectations and higher grades! We want to be able to focus on test prep and review.
