My Students

More than half of my students are from low-income families. Their young minds are sponges soaking up all the learning they can. A student's tools and environment help engage them to learn. I love to make my class bright and engaging for them.

My students work hard and try their best.

Learning to read and write is difficult, but they press on toward the goal. They are learning lifelong skills that they will use. They are a joy to teach!

My Project

My young students are doing a great job of integrating technology into their everyday learning. Our class has iPads, but most of my students don't have headphones. Many of the dollar store headphones that they brought, have broken.

My students need sturdy, reliable headphones to complete their daily work.

With 24 students using the iPad at one time in the class, they need to be able to hear just their content and not be distracted by hearing all 24 iPads at once. In addition, when they are learning at home, the headphones will be great for students to be focused on their work.

We are also in need of a classroom CD player to listen to books on CD. We would also be using the headphones with the CD player while listening to books on CD to help us become fluent readers.
