My Project

A classroom environment needs to be set up where students feel safe, comfortable, and equipped to learn. My students are resilient learners who show up daily with trauma experiences, and are called to rise above and produce quality results as scholars. They are welcomed with a sanitizing station near the door, filled with Clorox wipes, hand sanitizers, Kleenex wipes tissue and more to keep their learning space germ free.

They are given markers, folders, papers, books, and basic supplies to use their creative minds to spark ideas and interest.

This is what makes them so admirable.

This project allows me to continue providing for my students. Giving them those basic essential supplies will relieve the pressure on their parents, the school, and teachers to better focus our attention on not just a place to learn, but to encourage those little minds to lift their level of thinking, build confidence in struggling children, and most importantly create an environment where they feel a sense of "Belonging, Comfort, and Preparation to face the world at large!
