Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Recently, we were afforded some amazing items for our first ever Wellness Space. This space will be designed to be calming, quiet and relaxing, to support students who need a moment or two to decompress and relieve some stress.

Sometimes, we all need a place to unwind and regroup.

This space will help our middle schoolers to do this in the most effective way!

We recently were afforded some amazing items for this space, but soon discovered we had not only forgotten some items, but needed to add a few more to truly make this space one that was safe and comfortable.

While we were gifted some diffusers, we still need the oils. We would love a few soft sounds CD's to play. The Oreo, chocolate chip cookie and faux wood pillows will serve as flexible seating options, along with the gaming chair. All of these items will help enhance our mindful space.
