Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am privileged to teach a group of enthusiastic and curious high school students who are passionate about exploring the wonders of chemistry. Their eagerness to learn, combined with their creativity and determination, makes every day in the classroom an exciting adventure. My students are special because they embrace challenges, support one another, and continually strive to understand the world around them through the lens of science. They bring diverse perspectives and a collaborative spirit that enriches our learning environment.

The specific items I am requesting will directly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our chemistry class.

Copy paper and laminating sheets will be used to create durable handouts, worksheets, and lab guides that students can reference throughout the year. Pencils, pens, and highlighters are essential for note-taking and organizing information into students' interactive notebooks. Glue sticks and science stickers will support interactive learning activities, while paper towels and Kleenex will help maintain a clean and healthy classroom environment. A paper shredder will assist in managing and recycling paper waste, reinforcing the importance of sustainability and upcycling.

My primary goal for this project is to ensure that my students have the necessary resources to succeed in their chemistry studies. By providing these essential supplies, I aim to enhance student engagement and participation through interactive and hands-on learning activities, create a well-organized and efficient classroom environment, and promote sustainability and responsible resource management. Supporting this project means investing in future scientists, engineers, and innovators who will make significant contributions to our world.
