My Project
I work in a specialized school with students who have complex needs including feeding needs. All of the students have Individuals Education Plans (IEPs). Some of the students have Autism and require feeding therapy.
My students participate in feeding therapy to improve their acceptance and tolerance of a variety of foods that have different tastes and textures.
By having these snacks available, I can engage the students in different therapy approaches to increase their exposure to food. I am so excited to have access to these items and provide my students with them! This food will also be used for students who are hungry throughout the day and require additional snacks to eat. No students should learn while hungry!
