Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As students become more prolific writers, increase their reading stamina and develop higher number sense, they require materials with which they can organize their higher-level thinking. Some of these items include thicker writing notebooks to help them generate, organize and elaborate their ideas. We also need Spanish-English dictionaries to revise our writing with more precise language.

In fourth and fifth grade, students also require more specialized tools to understand new math concepts.

Graph notebooks will help them visualize the area, which will facilitate measurements and multi-digit multiplication. Protractors are an essential tool for students' initial understanding of angle measurements and properties of polygons.
