My Project

We allow the community students to gather during the summer and after school to play instead of being out on the streets. We also have a competitive high school team. The Internet at home for most of our rural students is very bad if they even have it, so we allow the students to gather for games. This has brought up the overall well-being of the students since the pandemic started because they feel a sense of belonging when they usually feel like outcasts. We don’t have controllers for our kids to use in the lab.

We will use the controllers to support our students' mental health and well-being.

We have an esports team that uses the controllers to prepare students for the future workplace by helping build skills like collaboration, creative problem-solving, communication, and systems thinking. It provides them with so much more than a place to game.

Help me give my students new controllers for our esports room to give my low-income and rural students a chance to compete.
