My Project

My students have been working hard on learning the alphabet and the sounds that the letters make. Many have been able to progress to reading sentences and are finding it fun to look through books. Most students are unable to purchase books outside of school and most do not have anyone to read to them at home. By bringing books home, they will be able to continue practicing and will be able to get their reading levels up to grade level standards. Students will use these books during any free time they have and will be able to choose books they find interesting to read at home with their families if this project succeeds.
