My Students

Creativity, imagination, problem solving and collaboration are key components to authentic learning in our classroom. I have high expectations for every student. It is my responsibility to provide a variety of learning opportunities to help each child meet or exceed their goals. Our school is a K-2 school with approximately 1,000 children enrolled.

We have a diverse population of ethnic backgrounds, a growing ELL population, a high percentage of students who need accelerated learning opportunities, and students who need reading and math interventions to help them establish a firm foundation for successful learning.

My Project

The BreakoutEDU kit will be an amazing tool for me to use to transform learning through hands-on, creative and collaborative problem solving activities. Students work together to solve problems in escape room-like lessons through STEM activities.

The Breakout Edu kit includes vital materials needed to implement engaging and motivating lessons such as various type of locks, red lens viewer, UV light, invisible ink pen, AND a full year access to all of the subjects games.

The additional props include various types of lockable boxes to hide clues, creative locks, spy glasses and other items to make the mysteries exciting!

My second graders will be engaged in learning by collaborating, reading clues, thinking critically and problem solving as a team. These products will motivate students to learn and make them excited about arriving to school!
