My Students

The students that I teach are curious and highly motivated learners.

My fourth-grade class consists of general education, special education, and ESL learners who love to learn when they are participating in real-world experiences that help to satisfy their natural curiosity.

Our Title I school believes that our population of students learn in diverse ways. Some students make the math/science connection by reading books, while others love to get up and do something. When paired with content learned in the classroom, the collection of real data, experienced first-hand, is what will satisfy the thirst of all learners.

My Project

Breakout EDU brings the excitement and thrill of an escape room into the classroom as a way to review academic skills and work on collaborative teams to creatively solve problems. This kit will help students to apply their learning in a new fun way!

Working in collaborative teams the 4th graders and their 5th grade buddies would be able to support each other in applied learning activities.

During the math and reading blocks, students will be able to work together in teams to complete challenges and support learning. With this breakout kit, we would be able to review math and literacy skills, while also working on teamwork, collaboration, and social emotional skills.

With these materials, we would be able to engage in applying skills and knowledge in an enjoyable and exciting way.
