Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are energetic and fun-loving, as well as curious and motivated. They come from low socio-economic households and are facing difficult situations due to COVID 19.
Their eagerness to learn amidst this pandemic is admirable.
As English Language learners, I am confident they will continue to grow and overcome the challenges that lie ahead.
My Project
The materials selected will help foster an understanding that keeping everyone safe will be a priority.
Cleaning supplies will be readily available so that students can focus on learning and feel secure within their environment.
I would like students to decorate their own masks with the fabric markers in lieu of name tags. Face shields will promote additional safety measures and carpet tiles will help to adhere to social distancing mandates. The eraser pencils will be used to create a theme that "We Will Erase Our Fears and Have a Great School Year".
