My Students

Attending a small high school in a high poverty neighborhood, my students need more help to prepare themselves for college. This is daunting for them. Most college prep others take for granted are not available to them.

My students are an eclectic group of characters who genuinely care about each other in a full-inclusion high school.

Almost anything goes in a respectful manner. Both students and teachers want success on every level. At the same time, a college level class, for children of immigrants who are struggling with many challenges, is a bit over their heads. Yet, they took the challenge.

My Project

My students are trying their best with remote learning and they need your help.

Some of my students are at a disadvantage, as they don't have webcams and cannot meaningfully participate in our class discussions.

They cannot afford the cameras and they are struggling to keep up with their peers. Students are trying to balance their schoolwork from home while attempting rigorous classes and they are drowning. Your help with webcams can make their learning opportunities more equitable. The challenges of school from a remote location can be made that much less with your help.
